Baby Quilt 1

I now have the first quilt top together for the five Upsized Charm Square baby quilts that I'm making .... I'm hoping to get all five of them to this stage as soon as I can and then I'll applique the names on them as the babies arrive.

Clever Miss

This gorgeous girl was made by Miss 14 at school..... they had to choose a soft-furnishing to make and her teacher wanted her to work on something a little more challenging. Miss 14 has always loved this doll that I made quite a while ago but hadn't been game enough to try making one herself until now.... she completed it with no help at all and did an amazing job!

She's not quite finished as she still has the wings and wand to make as well as the bells to attach but I couldn't wait any longer to show you!

The pattern is called "Faerie Noelle" by Annie Smith of Country Keepsakes

In progress

Since there are a number of babies arriving in the next little while.... I'm working on a bunch of little baby quilts both as gifts and for a couple of orders that I have....  this is the one I'm working on at the moment.

The fabric is 'Sunkissed' by Sweetwater which I've had for a while but one of their newer ranges called 'Noteworthy' is much the same colour range.

These lovely fabrics are next in line.... 'Scrumptious' by Bonnie and Camille & 'Road 15' by Sweetwater

An Apron by Miss 14

Miss 14 made this apron for her boss Kim for Christmas and it was a huge hit..... especially since they work in a little coffee shop and have hot pink work shirts.... it matches perfectly!

It's much the same as the one I made my sister except we'd run out of the polka dot fabric...
the plain black seems to work well though.

Miss 14 did a great job.... she seems to be able to tackle most patterns without any help at all these days.

Diary Cover

I whipped up this little A5 diary cover for our niece who has just left to go overseas for a year.... I thought it might be a nice keepsake to remember everything she does while in America.

I appliqued her initials on the front to make it more personal and used a layer of plastic over the top to protect it....I kept the rest nice and simple.

I hope she finds it useful.
