Let's Celebrate

I did manage to get some stitching done while on holidays..... I've been working on "Lets Celebrate" by Hatched and Patched and it's coming along nicely. This project is actually for me and something that has been on my to-do list for quite some time. I've been procrastinating with starting it as there was so much stitching in it but it was the perfect way to spend some of my evenings while camping.

The picures don't do it justice....I always have trouble photographing white and they seem to turn out a bit blueish - I would love some tips if anyone has found the secret!

I should have the finished product to show you in the next couple of days.
Hope you've all had a lovely Easter break!

Until next time...

  1. This is looking fabulous Leanne! Look forward to seeing this come together! I always think daylight is better for white photography, than evening time.

  2. It's looking very cute - though as you say a bit blue. Daylight is good. Not necessarily full sun though...but I'm no expert....

  6. Hi

on your camera do you have a white balance setting? there is different settings depending on what light you are taking your shot in, for example i just went outside to take a photo, and because i had my setting on Tungsten (a normal light globe) my sunshine shot came out blueish, most camera's have an auto setting
anyway if you pop over to this site

    it explains it really well

i usually cheat and just shoot in full sun.....lol

hope you had fun camping, it looks like you achieved a lot more than me.....

  8. Do you download your pictures to Windows? Their "fix" program works wonders! I just heard about it two weeks ago and have used it ever since. Toni
