As usual, my children also entered in the
fancywork section, with Master 12 making a machine appliqued cushion, a set of
coasters and Christmas ornament.
The junior fancywork display is often a bit
lacking so I usually try to encourage some other children I know to
contribute. This year I helped Emily
(11) and Tom (6) make a couple of things to enter…. They both did a great job.
Emily was delighted with her Cushion,
Coasters and Bag and Tom loved his appliquéd cushion.
Miss 16 also entered a variety of things in
the fancywork section that she made throughout the year, some of which I’ve
posted about previously and some that just missed have their photo taken before
being sold or given as gifts. Everything looked great in the display which only had three items other than those of the children I worked with.... well worth the effort to see their little faces light up when they saw their creations on display.
The lovely champion quilt is also one that I helped my beautiful niece Georgina (17) with for a school project.... she was so cross with her mother for putting it in the show but it needed to be shown off.
Cheers
